AU lumingap sa mga biktima ng Bagyong Labuyo

Naghandog ng tulong ang Araullo University sa 50 pamilyang naging biktima ng Bagyong Labuyo noong nakaraang Agosto 13. Sa pangunguna ng Center for Student Development and Leadership (CSDL), katuwang ang ilang mga lider-kabataan na volunteer, umabot sa humigit-kumulang 250 katao mula sa mga baranggay ng ACCFA at San Josef Norte ang nabahaginan ng tulong. Ang nasabing programa ay bahagi ng AU: Helping Hands na naglalayong magbigay tulong sa mga kababayan nating nangangailangan. Novabelle Pascua

Naglunsad ang Center for Student Development and Leadership (CSDL) ng palatuntunan ng Pagkilala sa mga  Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) para sa taong panuruan ‘13-‘14 nitong nakaraang ika-6 ng Agosto na ginanap sa AU Gym. Dalawampu’t pitong organisasyon ang dumalo upang makiisa sa nasabing palatuntunan. Ang mga kinilalang organisasyon ay:

AU-PHINMA enjoys week-long Christmas fair




Christmas started early for Araullians as the University conducted the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4, 2012 and Christmas Bazaar from December 3 to 7.

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, which includes the Lantern Making Contest and the Chorale Competition, served as the highlight of the affair. For the Lantern Making Contest, the College of Management and Accountancy (CMA) was declared champion while the College of Education (COE) and College of Criminology (COC) placed 1st and 2nd runners-up. COE came on top for the Chorale Competition, followed by CMA and the College of Arts and Sciences.

The bazaar comprised of stalls selling food, clothing, and other merchandise. Staying true to the season’s spirit of giving, the University did not charge fees for the stall owners’ use of Admin Lobby and other amenities.

In behalf of CSDL, Directress Junely Moises expressed their happiness with the affair’s outcome. Moises said that AU-PHINMA was able to spread the holiday cheer even outside the campus through the spectacle provided by the lighting of sky lanterns during the ceremony. Barry Sim

Basic Ed launches Seedling Bank




The Basic Education department inaugurated the Seedling Bank last August 24 at the Araullo University Gymnasium.
Students from kindergarten up to 4th year high school, together with their advisers, participated in the program. Assisted by the Sci-Tech Club officers with their adviser Ms. Gladys Gumabao, each student brought at least two seedlings and provided their own materials needed for planting. John Michael Hipolito, Sci-Tech Club President, then gave a lecture on “How Seeds Grow?”
The said program is in line with the Green Project of the Center for Student Development and Leadership (CSDL). Celina Castillo

Fresh Araullian leaders emerge from ILAW Camp 3.0



In keeping up with the tradition of molding future nation-builders, Araullo University-phinma gathered 106 active and potential student leaders for its Inspire to Lead, Aspire to Win (ILAW) Camp 3.0 Last August 10 to 12, in cooperation with Ayala Young Leaders Alumni Association - Central Luzon (AYLAA-CL).
Ilaw Camp 3.0 Brought together participants from the six colleges through teambuilding activities that tested their strength, willpower and unity, both as members of their respective groups and as a batch.
Aside from these, ILAW Campers also acquired nuggets of wisdom from Ayala Young Leaders Congress Director Mr. Simon Mossesgeld, who discussed the principles of servant leadership and its relevance to the studentry and society. Also, selected au-phinma alumni provided inspiration by sharing their experiences as former standard-bearers of their alma mater; Engr. Jose Ariel Domingo, Rommel Jorge Agapito, md., And dwne radio announcer Melicia Ciriaco answered questions about student leadership as well.
Capping off the affair, ilaw Campers convened through their group leaders and decided on their batch name and values. Batch GUYS (Group of United Young Servants) was founded upon integrity, unity, determination, trust, and fear of God. They will work on a project for the betterment of the Araullian community for the years to come.
The teambuilding activities were facilitated by invited aylaa-cl members and the camp itself was organized by au-phinma’s Center for Student Development and Leadership. Ma. Gladys Repollo
