I need more...

I need more…
Bryan Joseph Peralta

I can feel it.
I am near.
I am one step closer,
to the door of my dreams.

But wait there’s a hindrance
I should pass through it.
The door is closing
I must hurry myself.

I’m losing my energy
I think I ain’t gonna do this
But I gotta hold on to my faith
I’m so close, I’ve got to be there.

At last! I am here.
The door is half-closed.
I’ve passed it! I’m inside!
I have fulfilled my dreams.

Fetus Cry

Fetus Cry
Bryan Joseph Peralta

I want to live
I want to love
I want to grow
like any child in this world

I want to see the color of the tree
I want to feel the warmth of the sun
I want to play with toys
Stand up when I stumble down, and play again

I want to feel the care of my mother
I want to feel the warm embrace of my father
What have my parents done to me?
How could they do this?
I found myself sealed in a garbage plastic
I ask the world, where are my rights?

Bryan Joseph Peralta is a BS in Accountancy student in Araullo University-PHINMA and a Staff Writer of ViewPoint. He dedicates this poem to the world, for them to know that even a fetus has his own feelings.

Tuyot na Paraiso

This is the 8th poem for 13b42013 Poetry Series.

Tuyot na Paraiso
Bryan Joseph Peralta

Kaysarap mabuhay sa mundo
Makulay
Puno ng buhay
Isang Masayang paraiso

Mayuming kalikasan
Mistulang Bahagharing nasa alapaap
Kaysarap mangarap
Sa piling ng luntiang kapaligiran

May kalayaan bawat nilalang
Malayang tumakbo, malayang lumipad
Saan man mapadpad
Ligtas sa gabay ng Maylalang

Ang buhay ay Langit
Isang matamis na panaginip
Nais kong maidlip
Himlay sa mundong tila isang magandang awit.

Bagong milenyo’y dumating
Mundo’y nawasak, nabigo
Nilapastangan, binayo
Kasamaang taglay, saan galing?

Paraisong dati’y kaysarap pagmasdan
Parang papel na sinira’t dinumihan
Tinapon sa mabahong basurahan
Hanap-hanap ko, ngayo’y nasaan?

Ang dating matatayog na puno
Nangamatay!
Nawalan ng buhay
Kabunduka’y nakalbo

Kalikasang luhaan
Nagsusumamo, nagmamakaawa
Humihingi ng kaunting simpatya
Kaunting oras ating ilaan, kalikasa’y ating alagaan.

Bryan Joseph Peralta  is a  BS Accountancy student in Araullo University-PHINMA and a Staff Writer of Viewpoint. His love for nature and his awareness of its deterioration inspired him to write these verses. This poem is composed as a part of 13b42013  Poetry Series.

COC plants 1,100

The College of Criminology broke records after they planted 1,100 narra seedlings in a single outing for AU-PHINMA’s Green Project last August 24 at Sitio Alorma, Palayan City.

COC students and faculty participated on the project in cooperation with the Civil Military Operations Office of Fort Magsaysay-Aviation led by Captain Eric Igat. The seedlings were part of the 55,000 provided by the DENR-CENRO for the National Greening Program (NGP) through Mr. Alberto Agonoy, Treasurer of Pinagbigkis Cooperative.

The Green Project is a university-wide initiative that aims to plant 5000 fruit-bearing and native trees in response to climate change and global warming. Bryan Joseph Peralta
